Radio first
The station comes first. Features are there to keep shows on air and make life easier for the people presenting them.
About Streaminguy
Independent radio streaming, made in Scotland
Streaminguy is an independent internet radio streaming service based in Scotland. It is built by people who run radio stations themselves.
Built by people who run radio stations
We know the jobs that come up between shows, because we do them too: a schedule clash that needs sorting, a presenter who needs to take over, a licensing return that needs total listening hours.
Streaminguy is shaped around those jobs. The control panel is there to get the show on air and keep the station running, not to turn presenters into server administrators.
Independent, and staying that way
Being independent means we can keep the service close to the stations that use it and make decisions for the long term.
We host on SHOUTcast or Icecast, and we are happy to explain the difference in plain English. If one suits your station better, we will tell you.
Made in Scotland
Our home is in Scotland, and the way we work is shaped by where we are: direct, practical and happy to talk things through.
Plain English
No server jargon unless you want it. We explain the technical choices in terms that make sense to radio people.
Accessible by default
The control panel is designed to be accessible and to work on mobile, so it is usable wherever the show is coming from.
